CHARLES COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY “FOCUS ON GENEALOGY”PRESENTS“PRESERVING PROPERTIES IN A HISTORIC DISTRICT”ZOOM Presentation Tuesday, 18 May 2021 at 7:00 pmThis program will focus on owning a house in a local historic district within the City of St. Charles. The program will include what rules and regulations go along with doing exterior work to your property and what the process is to get that work approved through the Landmarks Board. We will explorer financial incentives available to homeowners as well.PRESENTER: Bob Bettus. Bob has been working in the field of historic preservation for over fifteen years. He is currently with the City of St. Charles as their Presentation Planner and before that spent over a decade with the City of St. Louis helping property owners maintain their building’s precious historic character. Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in Historic Preservation from Southeast Missouri State University and a master’s degree in Historic Preservation from Ball State University.Due to COVID-19 concerns, this FREE program will be offered as a ZOOM meeting.
