Often, this time is one that we reflect on past seasons and special gifts that brightened our childhoods and memories that will last a lifetime and beyond. Have you ever wondered what items your parents or grandparents may have had on their wish lists? Curious as to what items were available as possible gifts during Christmases past? Saving Memories: Creating a Family Archive
Do you have shoeboxes overflowing with letters, photos, newspaper clippings and various other documents? Do you want to organize your family memories, but are confused where to start due to size, diverse formats or attached emotions? The first Archival Experience of the new year on January 20th will take you through how to handle your artifacts, the best supplies to buy, and ways to display and share your personal archives. You'll receive some sample preservation materials, as well as a resource list of suppliers to get you started at home. This program is free, but reservations are necessary. We only have room and supplies for 20 participants for each session: SESSION 1: 10am-12noon & SESSION 2: 1:30-3:30pm
