As we are amid the holiday season, the sights turn to lit up houses, Christmas trees, and packed streets of shoppers. Our thoughts turn to time with family and friends, holiday parties, and gift giving. Often, this time is one that we reflect on past seasons and special gifts that brightened our childhoods and memories that will last a lifetime and beyond. Have you ever wondered what items your parents or grandparents may have had on their wish lists? Curious as to what items were available as possible gifts during Christmases past? So, it’s only appropriate that December’s Archival Experience be Memories of Christmas Past with a display of Christmas cards, ornaments, toys and more!
Learn about the St. Charles County Historical Society and its Archives as you tour our building and since this AE session is child friendly, bring the kids along because we will have a hands-on holiday craft for them to make and take.
Cost: Free (but donations will be appreciated)
This is a Members-Only event. Since space is limited, reservations are necessary. Register by December 13th by calling 636-946-9828 or emailing info@scchs.org. Be sure to include the number of participants, including the number of children when making your reservation.
